Dear Ones,
Summer flew by and that was my last summer ever. From now on my Junes, Julys and Augusts will be filled with work. I suppose its about time I caught up to the adult world and got out of school. My last week of this freedom was spent with the people I love most (minus one, Love ya Bry!) and in the place I will always call home. I ate way too much, swam with gators, lost at cards and pingpong, was Roger Staubach in the backyard with my brothers and Marvin Goldstein at the piano with my sister (ok so a really bad Roger Staubach and an abysmal Marvin Goldstein, but a girl can pretend still even if I have to grow up).
I am now only two weeks into my second year here and already I'm running around to get assignments turned in and practicing for tests. For those interested in my classwork read on, if not please skip to the next paragraph :) This semester we are working more with diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal conditions but also adding in understanding of neurological and cardiovascular conditions. This means this semester maybe a little more hands on rather than just written tests which is a plus in my book.
Though I've started classes already I haven't been so busy to not play a little. Last weekend I joined members of my branch on a float trip. The weather was perfect for taking a tube down a 6 mile stretch and using that time to catch up with old friends and make some new ones. Also in celebration of a friends birthday this week I joined her at a lantern festival at the Botanical Gardens. It was amazing!
As far as church goes, my counselors are both leaving me/have left me for bigger and better things so I'll start with a new team today. I hope they know what they are in for....I'm grateful to be back and be in a routine again. The familiar weight of responsibilities and stresses did not take long to rest on my shoulders and provides for good traction going forward. Life sure is sweet. Love yall! Loved getting to see lots of yall this summer! Now its just back to the classroom.
