Spoiler Alert: This ones a little lame...

Dear Ones,

A lot has happened in the last two weeks so I just stick to the highlight reel:

-I made friends with a drunk latino man at a bus stop by telling him off about his language. He asked why I was so positive and I handed him a Book of Mormon Pass-a-long card telling him that after he was a little more clear he should call that number. We got along after that.

-We had our first real practical exam on Friday. I thought it was going ok until the last round. We were being tested on goniometry (measuring joint range of motion). We had to do four measurements and on the last one our proctor mixed up which one I should do and which one my partner should do and then tried to correct it and have us do the correct measurements which we didn't have time for. We left feeling a little confused and worried how it will reflect on our grade. Only Monday will tell.

-Saturday I started working. I got a job coaching little kids soccer. It wasn't bad, and the time went by pretty quick. An hour with each group of kids was enough time to have fun with them but still be ready to send them back to their parents when it was over. I didn't realize how much kids touch. Touch you, touch each other, pull my shorts, hold my hand...Bless those elementary school teachers out there.

-Lastly I think one of the funniest parts of today's church meeting was "I just wanted the boobs" and "I don't have to worry about all those sexual diseases..." coming over the pulpit (a new member was describing how the gospel has changed her perspective from wanting to change her body to now having to worry about somethings...). I could have died and so could the branch president (the leader of our congregation) whose face reflected all too clearly his surprise.

In a couple weeks I'll start my early clinical experience which will be working at a hospital in the acute cardiopulmonary unit. I'll go there once a week for about 10 weeks this semester. Wish me luck! That about does it for me, I know its a little lame this week. Sorry and Love yall!
